DESSERTS FROM HOME CAFE

My schedule was unbelievable this week! Had 2 shoots this week, then had meetings, meetings, and more meetings. It's been really tiring but I love what I'm doing so it's not so bad.

Going back to the book... the launch will be next week...will post the details in a few days.
Meanwhile, here are some of the pages from the dessert section.
Fresh fruit tart... one of my favorites!
Honey Comb Crunch Cake
Lemon Meringue Pie
Chocolate Cupcake
Mango Walnut Bars
Lemon Squares
Chocolate Chip Cookies

White chocolate macadamia cookies

My personal favorite would be the white chocolate macadamia cookies and the sticky toffee pudding. When you get a copy of the book, let me know what desserts you liked the most! :-)

MORE DRINKS FROM HOME CAFE

Last Wednesday, we had our taping for True Confections. I was happy that I was able to do a demo on some of the drinks from my book Home Cafe so watch out for that.

Here are some of the coffee drinks that can be found in the book...
Almond Roca
Rocky Road and Banana Nut Latte

PAGES OF HOME CAFE: COFFEES

I'm taking you on a tour to see the pages of my new book...Home Cafe, published by Marshall Cavendish International (Asia) Pte Ltd. Here's part one of the book: The drinks.

Inside, I added a conversion table for metric and imperial equivalents.

There's also a page for tips to measuring ingredients.

Here's a page for the step by step photos of the latte art.

Here's a page where chocolate etching is shown.

Here are some of the drinks... white chocolate mocha,

and a traditional cappuccino,

Aside from the basic espresso and hot coffees, the book also has iced coffees, dessert or ice blended coffees, and cocktail coffees. I'll share more photos on my next post.

HOME CAFE

Home Café: 100 Recipes for Irresistible Coffees and Delectable Desserts Hot choco macadamia malt, crème caramel latté, black bottom banana cream pie and fallen chocolate cake may sound daunting, but author Aileen Anastacio — also the chef and owner of Goodies N’ Sweets in Manila — assures you with her tips and how-to’s that you can make them at home. Available by January 2010. S$28/PHP946. www.marshallcavendish.com

I first read about the book in the Smile magazine of Cebu Pacific. I was so excited when I read it and wondered when my copies would be mailed to me. Then today, it was like the publisher heard my wishes, I finally received my copies this morning!!! I opened the box and picked up the book. It's official, it's finally printed and will soon to be out in the bookstores. After working on it for several months, it's finally come to life!

So here's the back and first page of the book.

Will show some pages of the book in a few days. In the meantime, I will be savoring this time flipping the pages of my book :-)
